Flying Fish explores the theme of changing places, migration and transformation. Through whimsical sculptures of fish ‘flying’ inside the museum space, the artists reflect on the challenges of resettlement and the complex feelings and emotions attached such as fear and hope, loss and growth, while reminding us that transformation is a shared human experience. The exhibition is a collaboration between artists Arni and volunteers from Russian, Ukrainian, Kalmyk contexts as well as from the local community in Altona.
