Respect An exhibition about Being Different Together

18.06.2025 – 12.04.2026

The exhibition Respect. An exhibition about being different together invites young people in particular to explore key issues relating to identity, discrimination and equality. The focus lies on discussing how to treat each other with respect at school, during education and when starting a career.

Questions about who you are, what defines you, who you belong to and what you are made to be take centre stage. The exhibition works with a range of different communication formats: short texts, video clips and graphics are combined with playful activities, modules for self-questioning and places for debate.

Respect thus offers school classes and youth groups in particular an exciting opportunity to gain new impetus for discussion outside the classroom in a colourful and stimulating atmosphere and to get to the bottom of the origins of prejudice and discriminatory behaviour. The role of language in dealing with each other will also be addressed. During a job speed dating session, the young people will find out how many clichés are often attached to the idea of choosing a career and they can travel back in time on a timeline and assign milestones in the history of equal rights to years and events.
